“Are you working nights at the weekend? Who are you on with?”; “I’ve got Sadie on NNU”; “Oh you’ll be fine then!”
I’ve had this conversation so many times since I started in Exeter. A safe pair of hands is an understatement. Sadie is efficient, hardworking, knowledgeable and highly skilled. When everything is on fire (metaphorically speaking), if Sadie is around it will be alright. Also probably literally speaking as I expect she knows the exact protocols and emergency plan for if everything was actually on fire.
On top of her clinical work, she is involved with so many other side hustles to improve things on the unit, I have no idea how she finds the time.
All in all, just a fabulous human being. Thanks Sadie!Sadie is a hero! She works so, so hard and no challenge is ever too much for her to work around. We are very lucky as junior doctors to have someone as dedicated and understanding as Sadie, who every year makes the transition into the sometimes scary world of neonatology far less intimidating!
Sadie is hard-working and committed, in her ANNP role and other projects, too. She is so helpful and no job is ever too big. She is friendly and a great team player and I look forward to working shifts with Sadie.
Sadie is a super star -knowledgeable energetic approachable enthusiastic She has set amazing example for nurses how they can develop in their professional career and she offers support and lead for junior doctors helping them to settle in NNU and enjoy their work here. Invaluble MyCare guru
Sadie is an absolute joy to work with. Her knowledge of neonatology and passion for teaching make her the perfect bridge between nursing and medical teams. She cares deeply for both her patients and her colleagues. Audible sighs of relief from colleagues when she starts her shift!
Sadie is hard-working, enthusiastic and incredibly knowledgeable. She is a pivotal member of the NNU team, ensuring outstanding care for babies and their families. She bridges the nurse-doctor teams and is very encouraging and supportive of new doctors on the unit. She is thoroughly dependable and someone I thoroughly enjoy working with.
I don’t think I know anyone who works harder, or is more dedicated to her role than Sadie. Nothing is too much of an ask. She is a brilliant clinician but also a fabulous support for medical staff. She is a great advocate for her patients and her families too.
Dynamic, driver of change and an excellent role model for all. Sadie has demonstrated a consistent ability to lead in many aspects of NNU practice, from research to developing the way that the EPR works on a day to day basis. She has developed excellent clinical skills and along with colleagues now forms the cornerstone of the Exeter NNU. Nothing short of a superstar !
Tirelessly working for the progression of the team and unit, you do so much, not sure where to start! Your infectious positivity for your neonatal work enthuses all you meet, driving us forward with research projects, MyCare, teaching colleagues, helping with rota gaps and supporting the multidisciplinary team on the unit is inspirational, thank you for all you hard work, we greatly appreciate it.
Sadie is simply the best ANNP out there. Every junior doctor feels welcomed in the Unit because of Sadie. Sadie provides huge amount of support and guidance for people starting in the Unit going way beyond her work duties.
Amazing support to her colleagues. Shares knowledge and skills.
I am always left astounded at the level of dedication and hard work she put in every situation. We are fortunate to have Sadie on our team!
Sadie is a total pleasure to work with and I always feel a sense of calm when I know she’s on when I’m coordinating. She is so dedicated to the neonatal unit and is incredibly supportive to the nursing and medical teams; her knowledge and experience is second to none.
