Rebecca Williams

Nominated for The Kate Westwood Memorial Award for Senior Hero (ST4-8 & SAS doctors)

Currently works at Royal Devon & Exeter Hospital

“Becca has returned from maternity leave and was initially a little nervous but has now got back into the swing of registrar working. She is hugely reliable and shows excellent initiative in the care of her patients, even to the extent of setting up the nitric oxide on NNU when the nurses were so stretched with other infusions. She is well respected and admired by colleagues and families alike.

Becca is an excellent role model in the way she supports her colleagues, in particular, new Paediatrics trainees. She was a calm leader during a difficult resuscitation and both during and afterwards, was available to provide support to colleagues.

I always feel reassured when Becca is on shift with me, she is knowledgable and supportive of the juniors. Becca always is calm and collected when in an emergency situation. She is an absolute pleasure to work with.

Becca is such a calming presence under stressful situations; I have seen her demonstrate many times excellent role modelling and she supports the nursing staff and junior doctors beautifully; she’s an excellent team player.

Rebecca is a fantastic team member. Her experience and knowledge allows her approach to her work to be relaxed yet thorough. She goes above and beyond to help out with the frequent rota gaps showing her caring professional approach.”
