Michelle Tribble

Nominated for Junior Nurse of the Year Award

Works at Royal Devon & Exeter Hospital

Nothing is too much trouble for Chelle.
Chelle is a huge support to her colleagues and is fantastic in her interaction with children and their families. Chelle is a great advocate for her patients which can be tricky when you are newly qualified but she manages it with ease and certainty.
Chelle communicates and works well within the MDT, she is continuously looking for opportunities to improve her learning and self-improvement.

Chelle was as student on the ward prior to joining us as a newly qualified nurse. Chelle has continued to grow and really become a member of the team, often seen encouraging people to improve their scanning compliance and showing them how to do something on Epic.

Chelle is wonderful with patients and their families, making them feel at ease and supporting them and going above and beyond and brings in puzzles for patients to borrow to help improve their stay.

Her confidence in work has grown as has her clinical skills, though she is always striving to do better and feels like she should be further along then she is….which she shouldn’t! She has been a wonderful asset to the team and already a fantastic nurse.

Michelle always shown commitment and compassion in her role. She strives to put the best interests of the child first and will seek advice if needed. Michelle has shown great support to other junior members of staff and always make sure staff are ok during shifts. Michelle has been proactive in attending study days to become more competent in a variety of skills including the administration of intravenous medications. Michelle works well with different professionals to do their best for each and every child.

I enjoy working with Chelle in Bramble; she is a valuable member of the team and a fantastic team player. She gives outstanding care to patients and their families. In her daily job life, she advocates for these patients and their families to ensure that they receive the finest care available. She has been able to pursue education and self-improvement by registering for additional courses. She is constantly eager to learn more and develop into the best nurse she can be. She excels at management and leadership in her current position and has the ability to advance to a high band 5 or above. She has the capacity to manage her workload while helping others with theirs to enable ongoing continuous development of knowledge, skills and abilities to improve the quality of patient care, safety, compassion and experiences.
