Working on the children’s assessment unit means we work very closely with the emergency department. Carla is an exceptional member of the paediatric team and always has a smile on her face no matter how busy her unit is. Carla is never afraid to ask for support when needed but beyond this will always go out of her way to support CAU and the staff of the unit. Always asking “is there anything I can do with this patient to help you out”. No job is too much of an ask for Carla and when I know she is on shift and I am working it’s very comforting.

Carla is a fountain of knowledge , from resus/trauma to making the best crumpets , she knows it all. Carla is always proactive and eager to learn and teach and she is the first person I go to if I have a question . She’s always supportive and makes every shift such a lovely day even in the midst of chaos . Carla really is a joy to work with and we are so lucky to have her as part of our team. She is an advocate for every patient and her dedication is evident. The care she gives is second to none and she will go above and beyond for the families we see.
