Karen (KP) deserves a lifetime achievement award.
Karen has worked on NNU for 29 years. She returned to work on NNU after retirement.
Karen has been an advocate of care for T21 patients and families during this time, which has earned her popularity in the wider community and is recognised in several books aimed at T21 families.
Her straight forward, no messing approach has had much respect from her colleagues over the years.
Karen will roll her sleeves up and take to task any stressful situation with calm and dignity that is infectious.
Her knowledge of her specialist areas such as end of life care and care of HIE babies is admirable.
Everyone should be a bit more KP.
