“Neil is our clinical educator. He is enthusiastic in his role and in providing opportunities for learning. This year he has been looking after our training and also assisting in the training around the hospital during the pandemic. He comes to work with a positive attitude and is happy to help out on the wards if needed in addition to training. He is also a support for the student nurses when they are on the ward.
Neil is an excellent clinical educator, I first met Neil in my nursing training and for the last 4 and a half years he has always given advice and support throughout my nursing journey. Neil has so much knowledge within the nursing field and is constantly striving to support each staff member. Neil is always encouraging nursing staff to do our best and is always around to give us support in learning new skills or keep us up to date with training.
He prepares our training weeks and also study days in specific conditions which are enjoyable to attend. This year, Neil has been helping not only to keep all of us in paediatrics up to date on training during this unusual year, he has also been assisting in training around the whole trust. He comes to work in a happy mood each day and is always willing to answer questions or to do a little bit of training where needed.
Neil works on Wildgoose ward and does a fantastic job at educating the staff members and students on the ward. He is always in a great mood and goes above and beyond for the clinical staff. Neil is thorough in this teaching and allows everyone to be confident in their skills. Very approachable, great communication skills when finding out about extra training etc”
