Nominated for Healthcare & Nursing Assistant of the Year Award
Works at Royal Cornwall Hospitals
Lou wears many hats including HCA and Infant feeding specialist. Her latest hat is that of a qualified Nursing Assistant. She completed this two year foundation degree with distinction.
There is no one more committed about her job. Lou gives 100% to the families and babies she cares for.
I have learnt so much from Lou’s teaching sessions. She presents her nutritional study day sessions with such passion, one cant help but leave them filled with oxytocin.
Lou continues to inspire her colleagues to enable mothers to successfully breast feed their babies. She was the best representative of a HCA and promotes her role as a NA in an exemplary manner. I wish Lou all the best in her role as the first Neonatal Nursing Assistant in the SW.Lou has just completed her nursing associate training and from the moment she applied she has been driven by her vision which comes from a unwavering commitment to infants and their families. She strives to identify ways to support, enable and encourage the team to work better with infants and their families which is inspiring. Her attitude and conduct is exemplary and she is always professional. Keep going Lou, the sky is the limit!
