| “Dawn is hands down one of the best nurses I have ever worked with. She has a huge experience and knowledge base and is always willing to teach others. She is SSPAU lead and despite a difficult 2 years with SSPAU being moved around a lot she has remained positive and extremely upbeat, keeping the whole team motivated. She is constantly striving to improve the care delivered on SSPAU from the development of paperwork to patient information leaflets. She is extremely kind and empathetic and this shows in both her communication with children and their families and members of the MDT. She will readily speak up and act as the most amazing advocate for children and their families and is not afraid of professional challenge to ensure the children and families in her care get the best possible care. She is genuinely the most amazing role model to all members of the team and I think most of the nurses aspire to be like Dawn. She is an amazing sister who is part of the SSPAU department in child health. She is always willing to support staff, nothing is ever to much trouble and never shows the difficulties of the job role at times. She has been a long standing member of the Paediatric nursing team on Louisa Cary for a long while. She is very much supported and appreciated by all staff members for her recognitional of her job role. “ |
