| Mel is a brilliant role model. She goes above and beyond to help support the neonatal team, supporting not only the nursing team but also the medical team. She always has a smile on her face and you know you can go to her with a problem or for advice without any concerns and that she will help or direct you to someone who can. Mel is a calming influence when it’s a busy and stressful shift and ensures that everyone is okay and looked after – not just the patients and their families but the whole team. She speaks up for patients and their families and makes sure any problems are addressed promptly and appropriately. She is an asset to the neonatal unit and it wouldn’t be the same place without her! |
