Wendy is an absolute joy to work with, her voice will make you smile from down the corridor (haha)! She is always happy and smiling, making each shift fun. She is a much valued member of the team, and although she works now as bank staff, she still feels like a permanent member of the team. The care she provides for patients and their families is exemplary, they always fully understand the plan and Wendy is a great patient advocate if there are concerns. I can think of nobody more deserving of this award.

Wendy is a true legend and working with her is a privilege. Since officially retiring Wendy has returned to nursing on the bank and has been working tirelessly throughout the pandemic.

She is one of the most supportive nurses I have ever had the pleasure to work with and is a true role model to aspire to be like. With her many years of experience she is always there to support both junior Drs and nurses but also senior Drs and nurses. Her various roles throughout the years has lent her to be invaluable, from sister on woodcock to CF community nurse to name a couple. Her dedication to throughout her career to both patients and families is evident, she loves what she does and this is shown through her passion for the job. Wendy has a heart of gold, she is so supportive to her colleagues and is always there if you need a chat, if you need a laugh or a smile she will 100% provide that along with a tale about her farm or cows. Wendy will always push you to be the best you can and she truly has done that for me this year with her positivity and faith in my ability her encouragement has truly driven me within my role.

An absolute legend! She has the ability to boost morale on a busy shift and works extremely hard. The care she offers children and their families is second to none and she will go above and beyond to satisfy their needs. She is a fountain of knowledge and is an inspiration to the rest of the nursing team.
