Hazel is one the trainee paediatric ACPs at Torbay and makes an amazing contribution to the team. She is dedicated to both her own development and contributes effectively to the development of the paediatric service within Torbay. She is a safe, competent practitioner who is always looking for learning opportunities. She also utilises every opportunity to educate and teach more junior members of the nursing and medical team. She is She is a friendly, cheerful person who values everyone’s input and encourages cohesion between the medical and nursing team. She communicates very well with children and their families and especially well with troubled adolescents. Hazel is very self-deprecating and won’t expect this nomination, she’s such a valuable part of the team and deserves some recognition.

Hazel has really grown into her role as a Trainee ACP – she is such a support to the junior team. It has been great seeing her progress with her skills and knowledge and become more confident with doing so.
