Nominated for Nursing Lifetime Achievement Awardd 2021
Works at University Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust
Sue has been a longstanding presence within Paediatric services across the trust, working now as Consultant Nurse within the Community Paediatric service. As a leader, Sue always has a clear vision as to the direction of the service and is keen to support those within her team. Sue has also been key in establishing vaccination services within the trust, working for several months with the teams at Home Park. Sue is always someone you can turn to for support and help. She utilises her skills to provide the best support for young people and families, with specialist clinics including one for young people with Downs Syndrome. Sue has also carried out the role of Designated Clinical Officer for SEND, taking on these responsibilities when the post was established in 2014 and only recently handing it over to a colleague. Given Sue’s wide-ranging impact across her career, I feel she would be a deserving recipient of this lifetime achievement award. |
