Michelle has had another challenging year of Ward managing, thanks to a lot of changes but she continues to be a phenomenal manager. She works incredibly hard to make the ward the best it can be. Her team are so important to her and she wants the best for everyone. Michelle puts everyone else before herself, she regularly works clinical shifts instead of her management days in order that the ward is supported and staffed. She will text and phone on her day off to make sure people are ok and it’s not unusual to get a phone call to the ward late at night or some horrendously early hour asking if we are ok.
Michelle is everything you want in a ward manager – she is patient, approachable, efficient, thoughtful, very skilled and hard working. Managers like Michelle are rare and I hope she realises just how much we appreciate her hard work and support.

What an amazing person Michelle is….. she is not only a phenomenal nurse in her own right, but a huge support and mentor to her team. She is passionate about excellent clinical care and always goes the extra mile to ensure things are done correctly. Michelle rightly has the respect of the team she manages and is a fabulous advocate for Louisa Carey staff and patients. Well done Michelle
