Nominated for Nursing Role Model of the Year Award
Works at Royal Devon & Exeter Hospital
Abbie plays a vital role on the ward supporting our eating disorder patients. Abbie shows compassion, dedication and is one of the most hardworking people I have met. Abbie should be recognised for her strong ability to handle the most challenging situations on the ward in such a calm and professional manner as well as offering support to her colleagues throughout the shift in order to support this target group of patients. Abbie is an exceptional member of the team and we could not do without Abbie on the ward!! The care she provides is outstanding and should therefore be recognised as the greatest role model to anyone.
Abbie works supporting young people who are admitted to the ward with mental health conditions. She goes above and beyond to ensure patients receive the best possible care. Our young people trust her which makes a huge difference to the care we can offer. Abbie is kind, empathetic and has a wealth of knowledge which she is happy to share with staff and patients to improve outcomes 🙂 Abbie is always thinking of ways we can improve the service for our CYP. I would describe Abbie as kind, creative and emphatic. Everyone needs an Abbie in their lives. She’s a ray of sunshine on a cloudy day!
