Nominated for Nursing Role Model of the Year Award
Works at University Hospitals Plymouth
Meg is a very kind and caring person who has pushed herself and worked hard to become the excellent nurse she is. She is proactive with new staff in the department and wants to make sure they have a positive start to their jobs. She cares a lot about the people she works with and it is always lovely to work on a shift with Meg 🙂
Meg has shown great determination this year , I look up and aspire to be like her. She’s not only great with both parents and children she is a great role model to the supernumerary nurses and students that we see . Meg constantly spends her time working hard to improve the patients journey but also improving learning for the new nursing team we get. She’s supportive , caring and approachable no matter the acuity or volume we have in the department . Not only is she hard working and proactive meg is also incredibly thoughtful and I personally love working shifts with her . Meg got a very well deserved band 6 post recently and we are very lucky to have her as part of our senior team .
I have looked up to Meg since I was her student, and continue to be amazed by her work ethic and caring nature now as my Sister. She has progressed so much this year and I am so proud of her! Meg shows so much care and compassion to families in very difficult situations, whilst taking the time after to educate colleagues. I have learnt so much from Meg and wouldn’t be in my role now if it wasn’t for her.
