Maria is a fantastic inspiration to children and families with type 1 diabetes. Her work with cook and eat is recognised nationally and she has consistently contributed to the literature in this area. She has driven and supported significant change in the CYPDS service and continually strives to support families in learning how to carb count and works with schools to support families
