Nominated for Junior Nurse of the Year Award
Works at Royal Devon & Exeter Hospital
Hannah is a really fab nurse. She takes good care of her patients, paying real attention to all of their wellbeing and letting us docs know if she’s got any worries. She’s such a lovely person and always has a kind word and time for a chat. She’s grown massively in confidence and skill over the year I’ve worked with her and will absolutely do great things and make a real difference to the children under her care.
Hannah is a valued member of bramble team, she is an exceptional advocate for the patients that she sees within the ward. The care she gives to the families and patients is outstanding, nothing is ever a problem for her. She has extraordinary communication skills with her peers and families, the compassion she has is remarkable when caring for others. She exhibits kindness and compassion toward her coworkers, the patients/families she sees, and herself. She showed incredible leadership qualities and the ability to speak out for people so they can receive the finest care possible.
Hannah has been working on Bramble for a short while, she has show exemplary care to her patients, always acting as an advocate and in their best interests at all times. Hannah is kind, conscientious and caring. She has built up positive relationships with staff and patients and their families in their stay on the ward.
She always strives to be the best she can be, continually checking if she is doing the right thing and whether she could have managed situations differently….never the case! She has begun to find her niche within surgery, and has built confidence in this area which continues to grow.
Hannah is a pleasure to work with, a great team player and is always eager to help and support others. She is a wonderful nurse who will only get better with time.
Since qualifying Autumn 2021, Hannah has become such a confident nurse. Hannah always goes above and beyond for her patients and families, advocating on her patient’s behalf, especially the mental health patients of late. She has a natural ability for caring, and this is show by the fondness her patients and families show back to her. Hannah struggled in the early part of being qualified, with her confidence and doubting her own abilities, but in the past 6 months, Hannah has found her feet, her confidence and abilities shine through. Hannah has pushed herself and taken lead of her own progression, with learning opportunities within the ward, managing day-case surgeries and pre-assessment. Hannah is always eager to learn and has shown great understanding in her own capabilities, always seeking help if required and her peer teaching is amazing. Hannah has a great working relationship with all the MDTs, and always gives extensive handovers to ensure her patients are fully understood and receive the correct care input. If only she could see how far she has come in such a short time.
Hannah is a well-loved member of the team, I always enjoy a shift with Hannah, she has a happy, friendly personality, is always offering to lend a hand and never sits still. Seeing how her nursing practice and confidence has developed over the last year has been amazing to watch.
