Having worked there a lot over the years, I am often asked by fellow junior doctors who are joining the paediatric department at Derriford what they can expect – particularly from the consultant team. I always tell people the same thing – that without exception the consultants on Level 12 are kind, supportive and hardworking. It was a pleasure to work with and learn from them and they should be proud of the wonderful working environment they have created for their juniors.
