Nominated for Nursing Role Model Award 2021
Works at University Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust
Claire has been amazing in her new role as Band 6 on the Children’s Assessment Unit. She has helped initiate many quality improvements within the department, and is an active member of the CAU steering group which links with the Emergency Department creating one big team. She has also been striving to improve the team around her by teaching, both by herself and consultants, ensuring people are assessed in cannulation/venepuncture and ECGs for example. This is turn helps patient flow and is a great improvement for all. She is now a confident member of the senior nursing team and is taking on more and more responsibilities. She is a much valued member of the team, happy, and supportive to both the nursing and medical team alike. I look forward to seeing how she takes the role forward this year.
Claire always strives to make CAU a better workplace for staff and improve patient care. She really cares about her work and her passion for nursing is second to none. She has recently become a sister and is an inspiration to her junior colleagues aspiring for progression. She is super supportive of our nursing students and an excellent role model to all staff. |
