| Bev is, quite simply, the heart and soul of the Paediatric department in Derriford. Her leadership and expertise are valued by all members of staff – being someone to seek advice from and also to look up to as a senior member of staff. As one of the paediatric trainees, Bev is often my first port of call for advice and guidance, as well as a well needed cup of tea! Her door is always open and she is respected by everyone in the department – which is absolute credit to how kind, supportive and hardworking an individual she is. She cares about all member of the team, no matter what position, and puts the care of the patients on CAU and cHDU at the center of her role. She is the best senior nurse I have worked with and a role model to all those who have the pleasure of working with her. Thank you Bev – I really hope you win this award because I can’t think of anyone more deserving. |
