What would we do without her? Nicky is one of the most hard working individuals you will ever come across. Every single shift Nicky goes above and beyond to ensure the patients and family’s in our care receive outstanding care and support. Nicky is a good advocate for our patients and will speak up in their favour and challenge care appropriately if she feels something isn’t right. As well as providing care for the patients, Nicky is also on hand with advice and experience to support parents during what can be an extremely stressful time, while their child is unwell.
It’s not just the patients who luck in though. Nicky is always there with a listening ear and a wise word of experience for her colleagues also. She knows when someone isn’t quite their usual self and will let them know that she is there is they need to chat or offload.
Nicky has a bubbly personality and a wicked sense of humour. She shares stories that have the whole team laughing which in turn creates a happier ward environment and supports team morale.
Ultimately, Nicky is an honest, reliable and hardworking member of the Woodcock team and absolutely deserves the recognition of this award. She supports both the nursing and medical teams and her colleagues have full faith in knowing that she can be trusted in the care that she helps to deliver. Keep being you Nicky, we really would be lost without you!
