Kim is a new member of the Bramble HCA team, within the last year. Kim has found her feet, and it feels like she has always been a part of the team for so much longer. Kim joined at a very challenging time for the ward, but she took everything in her stride and really showed commitment to patient care from day one. Kim shows compassion for her role and has pushed herself out of her comfort zone to complete courses to advance her skills. She strives to put the best interests of the child and family first and will seek advice if needed. The rapport Kim builds with patients is easy to see, and she is a great support to fellow colleagues. Kim is proactive in ensuring she does her job to the best of her ability and is a happy, valued member of the team. It is always a pleasure to work with Kim.
Kim is an amazing addition to the bramble team and has shown her excellent work in our mental health patients.
Kim you are fab! Nothing is ever too much for you and you are more than happy to help with your peers and all patients within bramble. You demonstrate outstanding care and commitment to children, young people and their families especially those who are hospitalised with declining mental health. You are a breathe of fresh air always happy to help and support your colleagues and the wider MDT as well as encouraging better team work. Your advocacy for patients is outstanding, you won’t stop until you are happy with the care and compassion you are giving. You are a huge inspiration encouraging other support workers and nurses to be the best they can be for their patients. Kim embodies the code of conduct for healthcare support workers to provide a safe, efficient and effective health and social care system. Kim you are wonderful keep up the amazing work.
Since joining this year Kim has already done her blood training, Mental health first aider and currently doing her cannulation. When on the ward she works well in a team and always uses her initiative to make sure patient care and the ward standards are to the best. She’s a great advocate for mental health patients. Kim will always help show new staff and bank staff around and help them if they have any questions.
