Nominated for Healthcare and Nursing Assistant of the Year Award
Works at Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust – EASTERN
Where to begin, Kelly is AMAZING at her job and it is a pleasure to be able to call her a colleague/ peer.
She can always be seen with a smile on her face and demonstrates such commitment and passion for her role. This extends from her bedside manner and interactions/ support with parents, to supporting and listening to other staff, and always lending a helping hand when needed.
Kelly goes above and beyond to ensure that all of the babies under her care are looked after to the highest of standards; she provides care that is child centred, and everything she does is with the child’s best interest at the forefront of her mind.
Kelly is also amazing at empowering new mothers to be confident in handling, feeding and attending to their child’s cares; the pride seen in these mothers is reward enough for her and she always seems fulfilled to see this.
Kelly deserves this award, because she is truly a credit to our unit and the NHS.
Kelly is a fantastic HCA. She is a joy to work with and has transformed into a highly skilled and knowledgeable neonatal HCA since she first started working on the unit, having never worked in healthcare before. She is keen to learn and is dedicated to the families she works with. This is shown by the countless mentions she gets on feedback forms which sing her praises. Our families love Kelly! And we love her too.
It has been a pleasure to watch Kelly grow in confidence in her role on the neonatal unit; she is incredibly thorough and conscientious, and is incredibly good at her job, although I’m not sure she realises this. She is a valued member of the team and parents frequently mention her in their thank-yous as having gone above and beyond.
