Sarah is an asset to the paediatric ED. This year she has worked hard in her own time to gather toys, dvds and books for our waiting areas for the children to use. This has not gone unnoticed by members of staff, as well as the children and their families. Sarah’s efforts have ensured that the children have a welcoming environment to enjoy whilst they are feeling unwell. The distraction boxes Sarah has put together mean that staff are now better able to assess children or provide interventions as children are able to use the toys whilst receiving care. Sarah has thought about children of all ages and gone out of her way to ensure all are catered for. She has also sourced lots of fidget toys and toys useful for children with additional needs. Aside from this hard work, Sarah also has a great working relationship with staff within the Emergency department. She recognised when children are unwell and escalates appropriately. She has a huge knowledge base and many often go to her for support. Sarah is an absolute delight to have an our team!
Sarah is so knowledgeable and is such a valued member of our team in ED. She is always willing to teach and provides many with support.
Sarah is a lovely person inside and out, she is a joy to work with and always comes into work with a smile on her face. Sarah is amazing with the children in paediatric ED and is the cannula queen! Sarah always advocates for the children and ensures each family has the best care possible.
