Nominated for Healthcare and Nursing Assistant of the Year Award
Works at University Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust
Lisa has worked for the Trust for over 21 years. She has, in this time, demonstrated a love for her role and shown a real passion for working with children and young people with complex physical, medical and learning needs. Lisa works to help children and young people learn key life skills, and still feels an immense sense of achievement when children reach their potential. Lisa continues to advocate for her patients, and works collaboratively with others to ensure children and young people are adequately supported. Lisa is a real unsung hero, who quietly gets on with her role, doing her best to not be noticed, however her dedication to her role, and to the teaching of others (parents and colleagues alike) really should be recognised for the positive impact it has had on so many over the years. Lisa is well-liked by both patients, families and colleagues, who I am sure would all support this nomination. Lisa you are a star, thank you for all you do.
