| Denise is an unsung hero up on level 12 in UHP. Her clinics may be delayed the majority of the time because she is so passionate in what she does. She wants to ensure that her patients are not seen on a conveyor belt, each patient is unique and special and this is how she treats them. No matter how big the problem is she will stop and take the time to thoroughly explain the underpinning knowledge to both staff and patients alike. She is an inspirational leader and role model, inspiring others to want to follow in her footsteps. I was sat in a clinic with her and when she left the room, both the patient and their family expressed their absolute love and admiration for her saying how she never rushes you and makes sure she thoroughly understands your concerns, involving you in the care and treatment. She is selfless and really does put the patient and their family right at the heart of what it is she does as a clinician! she is there to make a difference to that child’s life and a difference she makes!
Dr Ullmann is a kind and caring consultant, she is a passionate advocate for her patients and their families. She’s one of my favourite consultants and I always enjoy working with her. Denise is an exemplary example and role model of a consultant paediatrician. She goes above and beyond for each individual patient and their families and really takes time to listen and give each patient the absolute best care possible for a brighter healthier future. As a colleague, together we have made various clinic changes which has had a huge positive impact on patient see by dates. Her kindness, care, compassion and thoughts for others is always above and beyond and has inspired me to be the best of what I can be. |
