The first time I worked with Esther was during the hardest and saddest day that one can imagine within the Paediatric Emergency Department. Esther was compassionate, kind, professional and recognised when members of the team needed to step out. Esther led by example that day and liaised with all the professionals fantastically. Esther has inspired me not to shy away from sad cases, but to support my colleagues in difficult situations. Esther checked in regularly after that incident. Esther is a great leader who isnt afraid to look after those she works with. Thank you, Esther.

Esther is a very helpful colleague and hard working. She does lead the neonatal service with excellence despite her part time job and has introduced significant changes which have had a major impact on the overall care of the neonates at Torbay Hospital. She has increased the Liaison between the Torbay and Derriford Hospital and has creating sensation that we are essentially a big regional team, rather than separate entities. Esther shows great enthusiasm in sharing knowledge and training others and is constantly surpassing expectations. A great win for Torbay.

Esther is a fantastic colleague, trainer, educator and listener. She is so hard working and conscientious, she strives to make improvements where necessary, but does this in a calm and friendly manner.
