The Transitional Care nursery nurse team provide individualised care for special care infants and their families facilitating parent & baby to be cared for in the same environment. We have welcomed some new starters to TCW this year which has had a really positive impact on the quality of care offered to families. The team have really embraced changes in the area and are consistently inputting to improving quality roles within the service. Many of the team have taken on extended roles to improve FiCare, Developmental care, Infection control, breastfeeding, pain management, patient experience and parental feedback which are all contributing to the ongoing development of the service – improving care for infants and families. The team have made a positive difference to families through their support, kindness and empowerment of families, ensuring infants and their families are kept at the heart of the care provided.
