What an amazing team to work for. The management is incredible and the work ethic and support trickles down to the whole team. Throughout a shift there are constant examples of staff helping each other with workload so that breaks are taken and stress levels reduced. Doctors supporting nurses with crying babies and nurses supporting doctors with taking blood tests are a regular occurrence. This all has a massive impact on families who sing the units praises and always leave glowing feedback forms. The collective knowledge of the team is full and varied and education is taken seriously so that staff are competent and confident in their practice. Fellow colleagues from other units always feedback how much they have enjoyed their bank shift on our unit and new starters settle in well to the team and stay. I couldn’t think of a team more deserving of this award.
