Liz is one of the Sisters on Bramble, though she predominantly works in Daycase, she is always an active presence on the ward. If the ward is busy, she will offer to co-ordinate to free up a nurse for the ward. The amount of times she has stayed late, after the end of her shift when there are no seniors on is uncountable. She will stay to ensure staff are supported and everyone has had breaks, even though she herself has not had one! Liz is always very present, ensuring staff are ok and if she can do anything to help and will always check in to make sure everyone is ok. Liz is a fountain of knowledge….ask her anything to do with complicated infusions and drugs and she will reel off all information and know exactly where to find it. Liz is a wonderful Sister and you know when she is in charge, she is in charge…..you can go to her with any question and know she will always have a sound answer, well thought out and fills you with confidence in her decisions. Liz is an incredible member of the team, a wonderful nurse and a joy to work with.

Liz you are an asset to the bramble team, your compassion and care never goes unnoticed. You mainly work in day case but I have been able to have the opportunity to work with you a couple shifts on the ward. You have been so support making sure that everyone gets there breaks and are okay. It is been a difficult couple shifts due to multiple reasonings but you don’t ever stop until you give your best to your patients and colleagues. Advocating for your patients to give the best care possible. You are always happy to educate others and no question is ever a silly question. You are more than happy to observe staff perform Venepuncture and happy to sign off. You are a legend Liz, keep doing what you are doing.
