Melodie is such a highly skilled, experienced member of the nursing team on Bramble, not only that she is such an approachable person, that the support she shows other staff members is incredible. Mel works all over Bramble, including oncology and HDU, she has a natural ability to care for patients and building professional, fun relationships with them is easy to see. She also is a whiz at MyCare, and spends many hours getting feedback, teaching and making the system better for us all. Mel is dedicated to ensuring patient safety and care, and is excellent at peer teaching, with her natural ability She strives for the best for patients, and colleagues alike. I always enjoy working with Mel, she is a bubbly, happy person to be around and it shows within her dedication and work.

Melodie has always and will always be an amazing role model to anyone that she works with! She is always happy to help people, always checks in to see if everything is okay and supports everyone around her in any way that she can. She is an excellent mycare trainer, and people are always asking her for help! No question or query is every too much for Melodie and she is always supportive. She is a great teacher, who explains things clearly.
Mel is an absolute diamond and a fabulous nurse. She is thorough, professional, and highly competent. She is the biggest advocate for her patients, but also for her team. Mel is a pleasure to work with and I always feel reassured when she is on shift.

Mel you are such a hard working, amazing member of bramble team. Always going above and beyond for your patients and colleagues. Encouraging everyone to be better and happily teaching and educating her peers and wider MDT team. Especially when it comes to My care, she is always happy to send a lending hand and answer any my care questions even when she is not in work. Mel’s knowledge and skills have allowed her to work in all aspects of bramble. Including HDU, oncology and has also been in charge on some occasions. No matter where she is working she advocates for her patients and shows huge amounts of care and compassion to her patients, with dignity and humanity. Nothing is ever too much for Mel and she doesn’t stop until she gives the the best care possible. Mel mentored me when I was a student and has supported me all through my first two years as a newly qualified. I am so glad that she taught me and believe I am the nurse I am now due to the support and great teaching that I received from Mel. You deserve the recognition of just how fab you are. Thank you for all you do!

Melodie is so talented!!
She is an experience and knowledgeable nurse who is able to provide a variety of care on Bramble from our youngest babies to critical care. She is always approachable and I see her mentoring junior members of the nursing team in a kind and patient manner.
Mel is so conscientious and patient safety is always on her radar whilst delivering excellent care. She never accepts second best and is constantly striving to improve the electronic patient record system whilst educating and supporting colleagues.
In any situation I would want Mel by the bedside, she is calm, efficient, bright and cares for all the children and young people so much that it actually makes me feel a bit teary thinking about how brilliant and modest she is. Exemplary.

Mel always comes to work with a smile on her face no matter how busy the ward is. She constantly strives to improve others around her.

Melodie is a highly experienced nurse, always with the child’s care at the centre of everything that she does. She consistently goes above and beyond her role for her patients – nothing is too much!

She has the patience of a saint, especially with student and junior nurses where she is a brilliant teacher. I have seen Melodie use a ‘Buzz Lightyear’ toy as a patient during a simulation, which always makes us laugh! Her passion for nursing really shines through.

Melodie’s attitude towards nursing is fantastic and she is always a pleasure to work with. She if doesn’t have the answer to a question, she’s quick to find a bit of research/ guideline on the matter and share it with us! The perfect role model to all. Mel is skilled in many different arears including high dependency care and oncology. She always uses her initiative and always helps teach and support her peers with any questions they have. She has amazing person centred care especially with teenagers struggling with mental health issues she will always try advocate for them and spend time with them to make them feel comfortable on the ward by playing games and being a friendly face they can talk to. As well as being a nurse of many talents and qualities she also helps with any my care issues that we may have. Mel is a valued member of our team and the ward wouldn’t run as smoothly without her.
