Janet is a valued and experienced member of our band 6 nursing team within the paediatric ED. Janet works particularly hard with the student nurses before and during their placements. She has created a student introduction pack and takes time to carefully allocate staff members to each student for support. Janet consistently advocates for the patients in her care, advising other colleagues as required. She will share her knowledge and experience to help others learn and improve their own practice. During medical emergency situations Janet listens and communicates effectively which ensures the smooth delivery of high quality care. Janet is often one step ahead of the medical team meaning their plans can be implemented without delay.
