Katie Finn demonstrates a positive impact on the staff and young people she works with. I want to highlight the hard work she put into the department from the day she started. She has really gone the extra mile with all the work she does, and she uses her additional knowledge from her pems training.

Katie is an incredible paediatric nurse, she is proactive and caring. Katie will always go the extra mile when advocating for all her patients. She will make sure they get the best card while in ED, she is currently supporting staff with additional work streams they are taking on and gives great professional advice. She is a joy to work with, she is doing addition training to gain more knowledge in her job role. Katie is a role model to many and bring knowledge to the team, a key member.

Having Katie in your team is like having a super motivated and eager quality improvement puppy! Her energy for improving the care we give to children and young people within Paeds ED is infectious. Her mind works around safety for children and young people, and their families and she’s just such a positive influencer to have within the team.

She has a real gift for communication. Her ability to explain complex ideas in a clear and concise way is impressive, and your attention to detail is second to none.
