I have nominated Emma for this award as I feel she demonstrates everything a role model should be. Emma regularly advocates for her patients so that they receive the best care possible and in the best way possible especially when caring for patients with mental health needs she thinks of the whole holistic picture and looks to involve other services available to them. She has further through about this by designing an All about me booklet for our teenage patients so they can write down coping techniques and strategies that might help them if they present in crisis. Emma has spent time this year developing a ward information leaflet so that patients and their families has all the information they need about the ward in an accessible way. Emma looks for learning opportunities for members of the team and supports them in this as needed. Emma goes above and beyond to help members of the team be able to deliver the safest and best care to any patient admitted.
