Amy Stone

Nominated for Nursing Role Model of the Year Award

Works at Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust – EASTERN

Amy is a band 6 sister on the unit. She is a competent and skilled leader. She has fantastic knowledge and excellent clinical skills. She has just completed her nurse prescribing which is an amazing feat. When she is coordinating she is calm and fair. I always feel really supported. She is approachable and is very caring towards the families and babies. I love working with Amy.

Always determine to work hard and support her staff when in charge even when it’s crazy busy. And she always has snacks.

She is truly deserving of this award due to her consistent and diligent efforts in ensuring the well-being of her co-workers. During her coordinating shifts, she consistently makes time to check in with each member of the staff, ensuring their well-being and addressing any concerns they may have. Additionally, she always dedicates time to teaching and assisting her colleagues, ensuring their understanding of important matters. Her commitment extends beyond individual interactions, as she actively contributes her time to ensuring a safe and prideful working environment for everyone in the unit.

Amy is one of the most incredible nurses I have ever met, her kind and caring nature shines through in every thing she does. Amy is supportive and advocates to both families and colleagues and goes above and beyond for everyone she meets. I feel honoured to be able to work with Amy and have learnt everything I know from her. Amy is a true role model to everyone that is lucky to work alongside her.
