I really do appreciate how lucky we are as a team to have a manager like Charlotte, she goes above and beyond to help her staff and make sure that we are protected and supported. She is always so open to listen to any problems that we have and encourages and guides us to be able to sort them. Coming into a new role I was very unsure about where I could work best and she directed me to be able to make a difference within the team.
This person has shaped the paediatric departments across the hospital and is well respected by all. She deeply cares and advocates for her patients and staff alike. She is always quick to congratulate or .praise good work which may otherwise not be recognised. She is confident and experienced and easily makes her team feel supported and safe. She is truly an inspiration to all.
I don’t quite know how to start this, so, here it goes. I struggle to put into worlds just hoe lucky we are to have you as our manager. You spend every moment advocating for the department, the nurses and our patients and are always there for every single one of us should we need anything. This year especially has come with some challenges and you have managed them with ease, always going above and beyond what is expected of you. Nothing is ever too much. You always put others in front of yourself and muck in when when we are short staffed. I learn so much from you and your knowledge and skill base baffles me every shift……where you store all of this information I don’t know. We and the department simply would not run without you and I am honoured to call you my manager and friend.
Charlotte is an inspiration to us all, a true nurse dedicated to her art. She has improved every aspect of the paediatric departments, ensuring safe care is prioritised. She is ferocious in protecting and supporting her staff, and she is eager to support our learning and confidence
I find Charlottes managerial skills are how a manager should the department. She is approachable, friendly and always willing to help colleagues where needed, keeping a clear and structured approach so as to not cross boundaries between junior and senior staff. I feel the way in which she works is a reflection on how nice the team is in paeds ED.
Charlotte is a wonderful band 7 who consistently advocates for the Nurses, patients and families in the Emergency department. She goes above and beyond to look after her nurses and tries her best to provide a positive working enviroment. Charlotte is kind, caring and approachable and has built the paediatric Department into what it is today.
