Nominated for Non clinical staff of the Year Award
Works at Torbay & South Devon NHS Foundation Trust
Laura is a very valued member of our team, and her absence over the last couple of months as she recovers from surgery has only proved just how much she does quietly and efficiently behind the scenes. Over the last two years she has remained cheerful, professional and dedicated to performing her role to a high standard.
She has organised and overseen the data collection for submission to the National Paediatric diabetes Audit and Patient Reported Feedback Measures (PREM), ensuring that we are aware of any children who have not had the necessary care measures carried out. She keeps us on track as a team!
She has arranged social activities for our children with Diabetes, booking venues and sending out all the invitations.
She micro-manages our clinic appointments to make sure that no-one falls off the pending lists, and organises all of the ordering of the various bits of technology used for diabetes management now.
She offers encouragment to all members of the team, and is always ready with a cheerful smile.
Laura is an exemplary colleague who strives to always work above and beyond expectations. She supports the paediatric diabetes team in her MDT co-ordinator role, meeting the requirements of the NPDA and ensuring the team meet BPT guidelines. She is always willing to support her colleagues and the team would not be able to function as effectively without her. She always has a lovely smile on her face and brightens everyone’s day with her cheery personality. She is always professional when working with colleagues and families. We are very lucky to have Laura in our team. She is amazing!
