Play Specialist at Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust – NORTHERN

As one of the wards Play specialists Hayley has gone the extra mile this year to help build the role of the Play Specialist within Barnstaple. Hayley has done this by undertaking the task of re registering as a play specialist in order for there to be further opportunities for play throughout paediatric services. Hayley is an amazing advocate for the care of patients on the ward and throughout paediatrics by making sure that play is always at the for front of the multi disciplinary teams minds when undertaking any tasks. Hayley works closely with patients to put adequate plans in place to make any procedure as stress free as possible. Hayley is willing to lend a hand when needed be that helping change beds or taking patients to theatre. Hayley is a much valued member of the team and the ward would be lost without her.
