Dr Butler is a superb consultant.
He shows that he is committed to his patients and goes above and beyond for them every day. His patients love him and for very good reason.
He is approachable to trainees and always willing to take out time to teach them new skills and particularly epilepsy knowledge. He gives up his own free time to teach, such as helping trainees smash their clinicals with extra teaching.
He was was awarded a special recommendation for excellence in educational supervision in the foundation awards demonstrating his passion for supervising and mentoring.
The epilepsy service has been completely redeveloped since Dr Butler arrived in Cornwall and now it works efficiently and smoothly, delivering the service that patients deserve.
Dr Butler is an exemplary member of the multi disciplinary team. He listens to his colleagues and is always considered with his approach and feedback. He is really easy to get on with and always makes time for those people he works with.
He is enthusiastic, dedicated, empathic and most of all an excellent Paediatrician.
Dr Butler totally deserves to be nominated for this year’s Consultant hero.
