Since April has joined us on Bramble she has been a huge asset to the team! She is a huge advocate for the staff, and is extremely approachable when you need to talk to to her about anything. She is understanding and takes time to listen if you have any concerns.
She is consistently working within a multi disciplinary team to try and overcome the challenges that the ward faces, whilst trying to find resolutions. April communicates well with everyone around her, particularly patients and their families. Thank you for being an amazing CNM and for supporting Bramble so well! We are lucky to have you!April you are an inspiration to all! You came to bramble and have supported us and shown huge amounts of care and compassion to bramble team and our patients we see. We love having you! You are an excellent teacher and role model, giving the upmost care and advocacy to your peers and patients who need it the most. With every incident on the ward you show leadership and management skills. You are there to support the wider team especially within difficult situations, you are always happy to debrief on situations and checking up on everyone in the wider MDT. Your attitude at work is so positive no matter what is going on. You always encourages everyone to get a break and will complete our jobs so we can all get breaks. April you are wonderful, thank you for all you do.
April joined our team last year from NNU, and what a breath of fresh air she is! She is always on hand to help out on the ward, she has come from babies who don’t answer back and been thrown in at the deep end with teenagers! She has risen to this challenge admirably, and is always around to help and support staff on the ward, whether that be with patients, shift patterns or a general chat and will always get stuck in to make sure we are looked after. April has been working so hard behind the scenes to support staff with challenging patients, and ensure staff are looked after. April always has a smile on her face and are so grateful she has come to join us.
April had shown excellent leadership and commitment to paediatrics over the past year. And caring for patients with eating disorders or emotional dysregulation has been a passion of hers, to improve the care they receive and ensuring the staff looking after them are supported.
April leads the team with dignity and integrity every day. Upholding all aspects of the NMC code of practice and RCPCH standards, role modelling this to the staff she works with. April is a pleasure to work with.
