Debs Watts

Nominated for Non clinical staff of the Year Award

Works at Torbay & South Devon NHS Foundation Trust

Debs has been the unsung hero of community paediatrics in Torbay for many years. Deb’s is officially the warmest, friendliest and most enthusiastic person I have ever worked with. She manages to not only remember everyone’s birthday, but she will make a hand made card for everyone as well. She takes time and effort to decorate vowden with the latest bunting that the season requires. She really is someone who brightens and lifts the moral of any team she’s in, when she was ward Clark on Louisa Carey she did exactly the same thing there. In covid she worked on adult wards, wherever she was asked to go. And don’t even get me started on her organisational skills. She has managed to single handedly create order in the very challenging world of autism and adhd waiting lists. No job is too big or too small. She’s one of life’s eternal optimist and it’s just great working with her. I would love for all her relentless hard work and her incredible enthusiasm to be recognised, I don’t think she has any idea how important she is to the Torbay paediatric team.
