Courtney is a valuable member of our paediatric ED team who provides the highest quality of care to all patients and their families. She recognises when children are seriously unwell and escalates care appropriately. Courtney is able to professionally advocate for the needs of the children in her care, making referrals to other professionals as required. Courtney has recently worked hard to complete her triage training. She manages her time and seeks support from colleagues to ensure that patients receive timely interventions as required. Courtney is always a delight to work with and is always supportive to those around her.

Where do I begin, in the short period of time that you have been with us, along with coming to ED as a newly qualified nurse (not an easy thing to do) you have and continue to excel. You often don’t give yourself enough credit and doubt your own ability and I wish you could see what we can see and have the confidence in yourself that we have in you. You have slotted into our team perfectly and I can’t wait to see what your future holds! You continue to push yourself into resus’s and supporting sick children and are always so willing to learn and help others. I’m so glad I get to work with you and will remind you every day just what an amazing nurse you are. Well done Courtney. Here’s to you.
Courtney has been a great addition to the paeds ED team, she’s always striving to learn and give the best care she can. She is excellent with patients and families and a great laugh within the team. She is delivering care above the standard of a NQN and should be very proud of herself!
