Sharon is a Safeguarding Nurse Practitioner in the Torbay Safeguarding Childrens Team. She regularly provides training and safeguarding supervision to a wide selection of Trust staff, particularly the Childrens Community Nurses, Torbay Young Adult Carers and the 0 to 19 Torbay Public Health Nurses. Sharon is always approachable; her friendly and kind responses always make staff feel able to safely share their worries and to ask questions. Sharon regularly supports training sessions – face to face , via Teams and recently developing the online Level 2+ workshop online on the HIVE. She demonstrates her knowledge and experience with gentle authority; empowering and enabling staff to learn and develop, resulting in teams demonstrating safer and well informed practice.
