A shift with Katherine, no matter the hospital pressure is always enjoyable as her sunny disposition and approach with patients is admired by all of her colleagues.

Katherine has just qualified as an ANP at Torbay but is already showing her worth. She is enthusiastic and motivated and tackles everything with gusto and passion. She is very well liked and a very supportive team member. She has set up a ‘colleague of the month’ scheme to boost morale on the ward and always gives praise to the team.
She is also great with children and their families, making them feel at ease, taking time to explain everything fully.
She has a particular interest in young people with eating disorders and is a great help to the eating disorder team.
She is enthusiastic about teaching and takes an active role in educating both nursing and medical members of the team.Katherine is just all round excellent. I am over joyed she choose eating disorders as her sun speciality. She has been a wonderful addition to the team. She is constantly innovating with suggestions for service development and improvements. She is a brilliant bridge between the nursing and medical team. She turns up enthusiastic and ready to go for every shift. Hard working and clearly dedicated to providing excellent care for our CYP. She has natural leadership skills with showing great sensitivity and compassion. Brilliant communication skills with staff and patients alike. Especially with some of our more challenging teenagers. She is also fully embracing of any teaching opportunities and shows clear dedication to continued professional development.
