Jack is a fantastic GP trainee who has shown great interest and passion in paediatrics. He is excellent at communicating with children and their families. He is a real team player who will go out of his way to check in on colleagues wellbeing or swap shifts to help other colleagues. He has been particularly excellent in his care and compassion for a palliative patient recently and showed real empathy in his communication with the patient and family but also in checking in on the wider team.
I don’t think I’ve ever known someone to love their job as much as Jack. Even from his first day with the Bramble team, when I met him in PAU, he has been such a delight to work with. Jack makes every effort to check on nursing staff and ask how patients are, checking in, especially through nightshifts. He is always hands on, and always up-beat. He is a great role model to others, always happy to teach and have questions asked, he has a natural flare for explaining and teaching. Jack always offers to help the nursing staff with certain tasks and jobs to make sure patient care is of high quality and he can see at really busy times, especially in PAU, that helping nursing staff goes such a long way in patient care, flow and ensuring that we work together for individualised care. He always communicates with nursing staff when he has seen a patient to ensure no delay in treatment, and that really does help with a full PAU. Jack has a great sense of humour, and he makes every effort with patients and families to make them heard and feel comfortable. Jack advocates to the highest standards not only for patients, families, but also colleagues. Its always a pleasure Jack to work with you, even on the busiest PAU shifts.
