For being an exceptional addition to the Paediatric Diabetes team. Jane’s clinical knowledge and expertise is amazing and she is a supportive colleague to the whole team. Jane is always willing to help each and every member of the team and families have welcomed her kind, thorough, warm and friendly approach during clinics and events. She embraces new challenges and is helping to shape the future of the paediatric diabetes service. Jane is an inspiration and we are very lucky as a team to have her!
Jane really has become an incredible and invaluable member of the Paediatric Diabetes Team. Nothing is ever too much trouble, and she has supported the team through a very challenging six months, frequently going above and beyond.
She is such a dedicated doctor; is caring, thorough, efficient, flexible and insightful. She has a wonderful manner with patients in their clinic appointments and has helped to “turn-around” several of our more challenging children and young people. She is not afraid to tackle difficult conversations during appointments, and handles them tactfully and professionally,, often injected with a bit of humour. Families often comment on how she makes them feel felt listened to and had their concerns heard.
She has been a great source of encouragment and wisdom for other team members and is willing to work creatively with us , often helping us on tricky community visits. She has supported the social activities that we have put on for out patients, even when it has been her day off.
Jane is very modest and does not realise what a very special doctor she is, she really is a Super-hero in our eyes!Jane is one of our speciality doctors and such a key member of our department. She has exceptional skills with neonates and has been heavily involved in developing our SCBU over the last few years. She has a clear love of Neonatology and invests her time and energy in developing our faculty through regular simulations, and doing specialist ward rounds on SCBU, where she provides expertise and continuity for our Blue Star preterm babies.
In the last year or two she has shown her adaptability through her new role in the diabetes team, which she is brilliant at.
I know she will not only be bringing her drive, wisdom and skill to the team there, but also her compassion and gentleness with patients.Jane has proven to have many talents. She has taken on supporting the Diabetic Team, as well as SCBU and supports the acute team immensely with both areas. Jane runs the neonatal simulations regularly which provide the juniors with confidence and skills to support them through their rotations. She always goes above and beyond to help any member of the team.
