Amanda has demonstrated great support this year with helping out new staff on ward. She is always keen to help and guide them on how the way the ward works, she interacts well and shows great wiliness to her role . she is friendly, supportive and cares about staff and patients and parents. Amanda will always help out with our mental health patients and will give support wherever needed.
Amanda is always helpful, cheerful and is an integral part of the ward team. She is very helpful to the trained staff quietly getting on with her work but always ready to lend a helping hand. She has a great knowledge base and uses it to manage a vast workload during her shifts. She gives great care to the patients on the ward playing and chatting with them when time allows, and supporting both the young person and their family whenever required. She can communicate at all levels getting on with younger patients, teenagers, families and members of staff. Amanda acts as a advocate for her patients when information needs to be addressed and they are too timid or unable to clearly express their needs. She is happy to talk with all levels of staff and states the issues in a clear and concise manner both verbally and in written conversations. Amanda has been a positive role model for new HCAs and in helping our students in skills around the ward. Thank you for your support Amanda.
