Emma is great. She works incredibly hard for her patients and her colleagues, bending over backwards to help where she can and supporting her more junior colleagues.
She is warm and compassionate with her patients and families and a pleasure to work with.Genuinely kind, compassionate and hardworking. Emma bends over backwards for her patients and her colleagues. She is a real pleasure to work with, and over her time in Torbay has developed the maturity and balance we hope to see in senior trainees. She will be a solid addition to any consultant team.
Emma is an extremely competent paediatric registrar who I was delighted to see back at Torbay after a rotation away. She is dedicated to paediatrics and that is clear in her work. She goes above and beyond for every patient and is particularly adept at incorporating the psychosocial aspects of illness presentations in the child and young person. She not only takes into account the psychosocial aspects for the child but also the whole family and she is extremely empathetic and kind in her manner.
She is an excellent team player and will often step into help wherever it is needed without a second thought. She is kind and respectful to all staff from domestics to consultants.
Her clinical knowledge is excellent and she always makes safe, sound, well reasoned management plans taking into account the views of the child and family. It always feels like a safe shift whenever Emma is on.
