Sam Janoff

Nominated for The Kate Westwood Memorial Award for Senior Hero (ST4-8 & SAS doctors)

Currently works at Torbay & South Devon

“Incredibly hard worker both on the front line in his clinical work, and behind the scenes in his SIM or PAFTA roles. Sam consistently delivers high quality care to children and families in his care. He has shown aptitude for both acute paediatrics and community work.
He has taken leadership roles improving simulation in the south west, and running the regional PAFTAs, where he hates the limelight but is responsible for delivering so much of the magic that makes Peninsula PAFTAs special and successful.
Above all, I am always blown away by Sam’s incredible ability to listen to his colleagues and team, make balanced and wise decisions and defuse difficult situations.

Sam is a fantastic registrar and is a joy to work with. He always makes the care of patients his first concern but also, for a relatively junior registrar he has also mastered the art of making his junior colleagues feel supported, heard and appreciated for their work.

Sam always has a smile on his face. He is a joy to work with.

Sam is hard working and dedicated. He is innovative and forward thinking in his involvement in projects. Whilst also giving excellent clinical care. He is a well valued member of the team.”
